A number of UEAPME members were involved in the "COLLECTIVE Project – Emerging communities for collective innovation: ICT Operational tool and supporting methodologies for SME Associations". The main aim of the project was to solve the major constraints of SMEs innovation by feeding the innovation ecosystem.
The project aims at developing conditions for the creation of communities (bottom-up approach) supporting each phase of the innovation process, by providing SME associations with an ICT operational platform named iCOMMUNITY. This instrument, the new AGORÁ for collective intelligence and emerging communities, is able to facilitate the innovation process, to foster collaboration among SMEs and to trigger structured proactive actions. The project has received funding from the European Community’s Seventh Framework Programme managed by REA-Research Executive Agency under Grant Agreement n° FP7-SME-2008.
The results of the COLLECTIVE project were presented on 6 December 2012 in Brussels, in the framework of the General Assembly of our member association PIN-SME.
